WOFFORD HEIGHTS, CALIF. – March 7, 2011-- Kern River Outfitters has announced April 16 as the opening day for their professional guide training course conducted on the Kern River in Southern California. The six day course provides participants with an intensive training in the art of whitewater rafting including swiftwater rescue skills, natural and human history, and customer service.
Those selected to work for Kern River Outfitters as river guides are able to take advantage of an active and fun lifestyle spent outdoors on the river, the opportunity to meet and raft with hundreds of interesting people, subsidized summer housing, participation in the company’s SIMPLE-IRA pension plan as well as the chance to work on other rivers in Idaho and Oregon.
